Help & support

Nileeds Job is free for anyone looking for work. This page explains how the site works — searching, applying, your own account and job alerts — and what to do when something on a page looks wrong. Anything we have not answered is at the bottom, with the contact details.

Finding jobs

Every open vacancy on the board is on the jobs page. Start with a keyword, then narrow it down by place and by the way the role is worked — on-site, hybrid or fully remote.

  • Search the way employers write. The keyword search matches the words used in the advert, so try “accountant”, “driver” or “logistics” rather than a whole sentence.
  • Browse by place. The locations directory lists every place with open roles, and each place has its own listing page.
  • Browse by skill. Skill pages group the roles that ask for one particular skill, which is the quickest way to see what your experience is worth on this board.
  • Check the pay before you apply. The salary guides show what roles pay across places and industries.
  • Keep the ones you like. Save an advert to your saved jobs list and come back to it later.

Applying for a job

Open an advert and press the apply button. Follow the way that advert asks — some applications are taken here, and some hand you over to the employer's own website.

  • Applying on this page. You need a free account and a CV to upload. The employer receives your application with your details attached.
  • Applying on the employer's site. You leave Nileeds Job and finish on their page. The advert says if an account there is needed.
  • Keep track of what you sent. Your applications page lists every application you have made from here, and any replies.
  • Write a short, accurate application. Real job titles, real dates, one concrete example of the work you did. Never pay a fee to apply for a job — see below.

Your account and signing in

  • Create an account at sign up. It is free for job seekers: an email address and a password is all we ask for.
  • Sign in at sign in, either with your password or with a one-time link we email to you. That link only works for a short time, and only for your address.
  • Forgotten your password? Use reset password and we will email you a link to choose a new one.
  • Change your details — email address, password, CV — from your account page. Keep your CV current: an employer reading a profile that still lists last year's role cannot see what you have done since.

Job alerts

  • Create an alert from your account: pick a keyword, and a place if you want one, and we email you when new jobs match.
  • Change or pause one from the alerts page, or from the link at the bottom of any alert email we send you.
  • Not receiving them? Check your spam folder, and make sure the alert is switched on in your account. Some email providers hold the first message from a new sender back for a day.

For employers

  • Post a vacancy from the post a job page. You need an account, and postings are reviewed before they go live.
  • See what is included on the employer pages, including the plans for a team posting regularly.
  • Manage your vacancies — edit a posting, watch applicants and message candidates — from your employer dashboard. Messages you exchange with a candidate are on the messages page.
  • Your company page. Keep the description, logo and website on your company profile current; candidates read it before they apply.

Something is wrong — tell us

  • Never pay for a job. No genuine employer asks a candidate for money for recruitment, training, a uniform or a “medical”. If an advert does, it is a scam — email us the link so we can take it down.
  • An advert that looks invented. No company name, no location, a salary far above the market, or an offer made only in chat: send us the link and we will look into it.
  • A broken page or a wrong detail. If a job link, a company page or a salary guide shows something incorrect, tell us which page and what was wrong.

Privacy, terms and cookies

How this site handles your data is set out in the privacy policy, the terms of service and the cookie policy. If you want a copy of what we hold about you, or you want it deleted, email us and we will do it — you do not have to give a reason.

Still stuck? Talk to us.

Email the team and tell us which page or job advert you were looking at — a link helps us answer faster. We read every message, and we answer job seekers as well as employers.
